Timmy Dunn is a versatile artist whose music hinges on the feeling of the moment. Born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky, he was brought up by his mother and stepfather alongside two brothers. His mother's love for country music introduced him to greats like Hank Williams Jr, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, heavily influenced his taste in music. However, Timmy's favorite artists growing up were Garth Brooks and Tracy Lawrence, as well as R&B and hip hop artists like 2Pac, Bone Thugs, Usher, Boys2Men, and Dru Hill.
Timmy began playing talent shows and formed a group at one point. He has since had many significant moments in his career, including playing Whiskey Jam twice, Marathon Music Works with Tyler Booth, Everette, and Dustin Collins, and Jeff Goes Country Festival with Robyn Ottolini and Chris Jansen. He has also opened for Chris Knight and even booked a 15-show Canadian tour as an independent artist.
Timmy has had the privilege of writing and working with Chuck Adams, and 3 Doors Down's Greg Upchurch played drums for him during one of his shows. He is currently planning his "Goin Up North" tour, which will start in Vancouver, Canada. Several singles are planned for release this year, including "I Do" and a song called "Run," which addresses domestic violence.
Timmy has a heart for giving back to the community and helping those in need. He founded Dunn for Kids, an organization that holds shoe, clothing, and backpack drives for kids and works with churches to sponsor families in need around holidays. Timmy also has aspirations of playing for military bases and being a part of country music cares to interact with kids.
Music is the vehicle. Love and compassion throughout humanity is the destination.
